Back To Bethlehem

Custom artwork by Jessica Stanley depicting a hitchhiker.

Back To Bethlehem is based on a short story I wrote in high school while living on Canada's West Coast. White Rock, Surrey and Vancouver's landscape dominate the bulk of our story. I can't actually take you to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I can only take you as far as the Peace Arch border crossing on my Canadian side. Jimmy would have to tell you the rest of the story from his side. Here's your chapter four.

Chapter four. Apparently Jimmy thinks it’s show and tell time. The gun. I respond with a little bit of show and tell of my own. The Orange. A bond is formed. By the Lizard King. Riders on the storm. And there’s lights on Fire Mountain. Queenie’s the bomb. A road eating, curve hugging monster. Is it Jimmy at the wheel? Or is Jimmy just another rider? Look at you. Jack the lad. You’ve been introduced to Jimmy Longneck. As it turns out, Jimmy’s an American hailing from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He’s a little evasive as to why he’s here. But. We’re getting along fab and making great time. Not sure how he’s navigating. The beer, mescal and hash is doing exactly what to him? We’re getting close. I guess we’ll find out when we hit the tunnels. Another pull off the Orange, Jimmy? And oh. By the way. We’re making great time.
